Visit dr. Matej Skorvanek
Last month, dr. Matej Skorvanek from the University Hospital of Kosice (Slovakia) was visiting our department. During his stay in Groningen he joined the movement disorders Groningen team in the different clinical activities and meetings.
Next to this, he also presented his current work on pre-clinical markers of Parkinson’s disease and very well documented and fascinating cases from his own clinic.
Dr. Skorvanek has been in Groningen before for his PhD research and is currently a movement disorders specialist with a strong interest in research. Furthermore, dr. Skorvanek is also one of the selected young neurologists enrolled in the International Leaders Program for Young Movements Disorders Neurologists from the Movement Disorders Society and a member of the education committee of the MDS Europe section.
By maintaining these collaborations with international experts, movement disorders Groningen, gets invaluable new input from both a clinical and scientific perspective.
