Large delegation to movement disorders congress in Madrid
From September 15 to 18, the annual "International Congress of Parkinon's disease and Movement disorders" was held in Madrid.
Researchers and physicians from the center of expertise in movement disorders Groningen were well represented with over 30 participants.
At the congress, the latest insights in terms of diagnosing and treating movement disorders were shared. P and gave a nice overview of the latest research results. On Friday, PhD student Sterre van der Veen had the great honor of giving a lecture on the use of clinical neurophysiology in diagnosing functional movement disorders. Prof. Marina de Koning-Tijssen also gave a nice lecture on Friday about the best way to diagnose rare movement disorders.
Besides these lectures, 7 researchers from Groningen gave a poster presentation and Madelein van der Stouwe and Lisette Koens were allowed to present a short video case study. All in all, it was a very successful congress at a beautiful location!
