International collaboration important for DBS research
During the past days Dr Simon Little, neurologist in training and researcher at St-George's Hospital in London, has visited our DBS research group at the UMCG.
This researchgroup has an important collaboration with London and Oxford in the field of deep brain stimulation (DBS) and is currently working on a project involving adaptive DBS in Parkinson's disease. During implementation of the DBS electrodes at the operating theater, measurements and experiments are performed. During the visit of Simon Little, new progress has been made.
