Annual International Movement Disorders congress in Hong Kong
This year, a large delegation from Groningen travelled to Hong Kong for the International Congress of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders.
This congress is organized annually by the The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society and around 3500 people from all over the world attended the congress. During the congress we successfully promoted the Movement disorders Groningen research group with 11 posters, 2 oral presentations and 1 chaired session. Clinicians and researchers equally enjoyed the congress with the most recent insights in research, diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders. Hong Kong was a beautiful location for this conference with a very impressive skyline.
Prof. dr. M.A.J. de Koning-Tijssen gave a presentation about the treatment of myoclonus on Friday for an audience of thousand people. Jeannette Gelauff also had the honor to present a video presentation during the very successful Video Challenge on Monday evening.
There were several poster presentations from our group every day of the congress. Zeus Domínguez Vega was honored to present his poster during a guided poster tour and Jeannette Gelauff presented a late breaking poster.
Next year the international congress of the Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society will be in Nice, France.
