Dr. H. Eggink

Dr. H. (Wieke) Eggink is a Neurology Resident in het UMCG, specializing in pediatric neurology and movement disorders. In 2019, she defended her PhD thesis named ‘‘Moving forward in early-onset movement disorders’ focussing on a multidisciplinary approach to movement disorders in children and young adults, especially dystonia. At the moment, she combines her neurology residency with a Post Doc position with research projects aimed at a better recognition of and eye movements in children with dystonia and the differentiation between genetic and acquired forms of cerebral palsy.
